Theoretical Probabilities

For math we learned about theoretical probabilities by using dice and charts. We rolled the dice to see how many times the numbers would occur. In the chart it shows the data we collected from the dice to see if the results would match with our theory.

Auckland Average Temperatures

For math's we learnt how to create double line graphs. These are the average temperatures of Auckland. We were recording the average high and low temperatures of the months in the year 2018.

Creating Double Graphs

We had to collect data from our class by asking how many brothers and sisters they have. We had to write down they're results on a tally chart then show those results as a double graph.

Character Inference Chart

This term we are learning to inference text's from different stories and to find out what the author is trying to say about the story, by looking at the back rounds and looking for clues.

Making connections - Badge of honor

The first scene was about how I got my student leader badge. It relates to how the four students got their school captain badges.

The second scene was about a Disney movie I think most people have watched called 'Frozen'. It reminds me of the text because Ana met, fell in love with and wanted to marry a guy who she just met, Hans. But Hans was just marrying her for the throne and was pretending to be a nice guy. In Badge of honor, Tomasi pretends that he doesn't have fights and everyone thinks that he is a good guy.

The third scene is about one of my mate's who was a student leader but was secretly doing something that he shouldn't be doing at his age. This relates to how Tomasi was a school captain but was secretly having fights.

These scenes help me understand the text because I have seen or experienced them before.
